Tip Of The Toungue Hurts

a trick "insulting or hilarious?

In INVINCIBLE IRON MAN # 127, David Michelinie, John Romita, jr. Bob Layton and really began to push Tony Stark's character turning into an alcoholic, which would start the renowned series "Demon in a Bottle."
In this issue, the visibly drunk Stark cruelly berates her longtime faithful butler, Edwin Jarvis.
The next day, a sober and hungover Stark is surprised to learn that Jarvis will present his resignation from his post.
The text of the resignation letter reads:
To: Anthony Stark.
This is to notify you that I am offering my resignation from my position.
This resignation will take effect immediately.
I'm saliƩndome because it is no longer the computer animated "one big happy family" where I loved to work.
Since last year or so, I have seen the moral of the Avengers disintegrate to the point that instead of being a team or family, is now a large collection of people unhappy about to cook in own personal stew of repressed anger, resentment and frustration.
I have seen many of my friends silently endure unfair treatment, malicious or vindictive.
My personal gripes are relatively tiny compared to others, but I do not intend to stand quietly.
I am firmly convinced that this was done with the idea of \u200b\u200b"show who's boss, the hired help"
I do not intend to wait for around to see what follows.
Sincerely,
(Jarvis)

It looks very clear that their relationship has always been of employer and employee (this was something that in the nineties wanted change Marvel to make something similar to the link Alfred Pennyworth / Bruce Wayne, which seems pretty stupid to do so, because the character is important enough Jarvis because of his great professionalism, but that's another story.)
Back then, after that scene came in the number published in the letters page of INVINCIBLE IRON MAN # 130, Michelinie explained that the letter which appeared in number 127 was a mistake: "... unfortunately, as in the process of production at Marvel, another resignation letter was photocopied by mistake and that has nothing to do with the story of Man Iron. "
It was the letter of resignation from Dave Cockrum that gave the publisher to leave his post on the staff of 1.979.
production looks like someone changed some references to "Marvel" to references to "The Avengers."
In 2.006, Layton confirmed the story, "I can not remember who was the culprit, but it caused an uproar in the office at that time. It was a move totally decapitated. "
This" trick "to make public the private correspondence of Cockrum, fortunately did great damage to relations with the editorial cartoonist since Cockrum continued to work there as a free employee to enable him to work parallel to other publishers.
There remains the unsolved mystery of who perpetrated this "error."
